Dunbar and East Lothian Debt Advice Service is supported by a team of volunteers who help us provide free and independent debt advice across East Lothian. Our team includes Approved Money Advisers, Debt Advisers and Money Advisers who work directly with clients to provide advice, explore options and help people deal with debt problems.
We also have volunteers who welcome clients at our community venues and drop in sessions. They help create a friendly environment and are often the first point of contact for people accessing the service.
Behind the scenes, volunteers support the work of the service in other important ways. This includes helping with administration, budgeting, funding applications and financial management. We also have volunteers who provide legal advice and specialist support when required.
Our volunteers come from a range of backgrounds and bring valuable skills and experience to the service. Together, they help ensure that people across East Lothian can access the support they need to manage their debts and improve their financial situation.
We all share a commitment to treating people with dignity, respect and understanding, and to helping clients find the best way forward.
